At ProPac, we want to maintain a world that our children can be proud of. That's why we've been involved in environmental issues for many years at both Bong and ProPac. Creating packaging is a complex process that can affect the environment in several ways. So we make sure that we conduct those processes in ways that don't jeopardise the environment or our health. We always try to choose the option that has the least impact.
We aim for sustainable long-term development by manufacturing products that have the least possible impact on the environment during their lifecycle. Right now ProPac is working actively to protect the environment by:
• improving its production methods to minimise harmful emissions
• striving to eco-label the largest possible share of the project range
• influencing suppliers and customers to choose product designs
that incorporate eco-cycle thinking and conservation of natural
resources
• increasing knowledge and awareness about environmental issues
among all employees
We strive to use resources as efficiently as possible and to minimise waste through improved production processes and the use of appropriate materials. We continuously review our goals and strategies to reduce the company's climate impact.
Since 50% of our products are produced by suppliers, we impose environmental requirements on them. When we audit their facilities, we focus on four key areas: environmental law and governmental permits, chemicals, waste water treatment, and waste management. We also check that their factories handle hazardous waste in a responsible manner by sending it to an authorised company.
